The Edmonton Eskimos survived a wild back and forth CFL shootout against the Calgary Stampeders before prevailing 38-35 to take over sole possession of first place in the CFL West. Ricky Ray hit Fred Stamps with a 23 yard touchdown pass with just nine seconds to play to earn the victory, erasing the lead that Calgary had earned with their own TD pass less than a half minute earlier.

After the game, winning QB Ricky Ray said that he enjoyed the wild contest:

“That was a ton of fun. In the CFL you get to play in a lot of games like this, especially against a guy like (Calgary quarterback Henry) Burris, who has done this to us. It’s great to come out on the winning end of a shoot-out like that. It’s a great uplift for the team. It’s a huge win for us.”

With a bye week on deck, Eskimos head coach Richie Hall said that the outcome couldnt have been timed any better:

“Regardless of what happens, we are coming back in first place. Now we have one up on Calgary. It’s going to be a dogfight for all the teams in the West and any chance you get to win, especially a win like this, it’s a real bonus. It’s great for our confidence.”

Calgarys Burris remembered a very similar game last year:

“They got us last year in this situation and of course you didn’t think it was going to happen again or even could happen again. It felt so great to get that late touchdown and with 38 seconds on the clock nobody was even thinking about last year. We had to stop Jackson and we didn’t. And we had to stop Ray and we didn’t. Kudos to Edmonton.”

Calgary returns to action on Aug. 28 in Toronto while the Eskimos will next play on Aug. 29 when they host Hamilton. The two CFL provincial rivals from Alberta will face each other twice more this season.

Party Hard In Dubai At Night

We’ve all heard of all the crazy things they’ve built and are still building in Dubai such as the world’s tallest hotel and the tallest building and man made palm shaped islands. However, is there a nightlife in the city of Dubai too or will you just have to have fun in the daytime? After all, Dubai is in a Muslim country which are known to be somewhat restrictive, especially according to a lot of western standards.

Dubai at night is a whole new city. When the city lights up at night, its almost unrecognizable from what it was in the daytime. From world class bars such as the Buddah Bar and the biggest and most popular with the expats, Chi at the Lodge, Dubai has something to offer everyone. Ladies night are quite something as the Ladies love to go bar hopping drinking their free glasses of Moet from one bar to another. Good times indeed! Plus famous DJs and artists regularly stop by such as Tiesto, Armin Van Buren, Tiny Tempeh, Rod Stewart and so much more.

Just before you hit the local night scene, I just want you to be aware of some of the following rules and regulations so you have the best time possible. Make sure you carry your passport everywhere. It not only serves as your ID but will help you if you do have any mash ups with the local authorities (Most likely you wont).

Regrettably, there are no after hours drinking venues but that just works out fine most times. Cover charge or entry is usually around $30 dollars give and take but well worth the experience. You’ve probably heard this in your own country but drinking and driving is not a good idea and actually the ‘kiss of death’ in Dubai. No you won’t get the death penalty, but you will be fined about $15,000, one month in jail than straight deportation. Yes that is harsh indeed so try to avoid drinking and driving or drinking outside the designated areas at all costs.

With a very large variety of clubbing destinations and events that are taking place daily in the city of Dubai, its really hard to get bored. No wonder Dubai is one of the best cities in the world to visit for tourists from around the world. As long as you play by the rules and respect your fellow clubbers, you are bound to have a phenomenal night in the nightclubs of Dubai.

Dubai is a great place to visit and the perfect destination for the night life lover. Don’t forget to visit Clubs in Dubai and hope you enjoy Dubai Parties.

The Basics Of The Kentucky Derby For Horse Racing Beginners

Although the Breeders’ Cup is nipping at its heels, without a doubt the Kentucky Derby is the biggest horse race of the year in the United States. This is a race that attracts many fans from the general public that typically don’t follow horse racing. A thorough understanding of horse racing, and which horses will win and why is a complex discipline that requires extensive specialized knowledge.

A true fluency in horse racing takes extensive study, but here are a few concepts that can help anyone better understand and enjoy the Kentucky Derby. Until recently, the Derby was a race dominated by the favorite. Since Spectacular Bid won the Derby in 1979, however, you can count the favorites who’ve won the race on one hand with fingers left over. In other words, the easiest way to pare down the field for a horse racing novice is to simply eliminate the popular favorite from consideration.

In all fairness, it should be noted that the favorite has been a historically strong proposition. In the 135 Kentucky Derby races the post time favorite has placed in the money at a 69% clip over the history of the race. So why have the favorites been on such a money losing run in the past two decades? My personal theory is that it is a function of the growing hype surrounding the race”in other words, you get a lot of amateur horse racing fans that distort the notion of the favorite being the most likely to win the race. The most hyped horse becomes the favorite, but this is not always the best horse. In any case, though it could be argued that the anti-favorite bias could be due for a turnaround, for the purpose of understanding this particular race Im going to forget about the post time favorite.

Another important component of Kentucky derby success is the post position of the horses. The innermost positions (1 through 5) have produced over 40% of all Derby winners, while the outer post positions (11 through 20) have had only 13% winners. Note that in some years there might not be that many horses in the race, which would help partially explain the poor performance of the outer start positions. Still, for the purposes of understanding a single race eliminating all of the less favorable start positions is a good idea.

Another factor worthy of consideration is the horses lineage and breeding. Start at the beginning”where the horse was born. Most, but not all, serious racehorses are born in Kentucky. If you see a horse in the race that wasnt, forget them. This is not any sort of home field advantage but a result of the concentration of the Thoroughbred horse industry in the state. Over 80% of Kentucky Derby winners have been born in Kentucky. Next, consider the horses gender, or more specifically dont consider any entry with a gender other than male. Only eleven horses other than intact males have ever won the race (eight geldings and three fillies). A gelding did win as recently as 2003, when Funny Cide took the roses but again for the newcomer this is an easy way to cut down the horses under consideration. This isnt a gender bias or anything, but for our purposes we can forget about non-male horses.

Dosage index numbers have also taken on a great deal of significance in recent years. What are dosage numbers you ask? I have no clue, beyond the fact that theyre a complex mathematical measurement that reflects the quality of the horses family tree, as well as his performance as a two-year-old. The conventional wisdom is that horses with a dosage index over 4.00 are not supposed to be competitive at the long 1 mile distance. This isnt always the case, of course, but for the dilettante its a good factor to consider. Since 1984 (when dosage systems first came into vogue), the winners of nine Derby races were dosage system selections.

If you want to learn about horse racing in more depth, there are countless books available to introduce you to the subject. For a recreational fan who just wants to have a better understanding of the Kentucky Derby, these rules can help.

Tips To Safely Attempt Cliff Jumping

There is no better way to get your adrenaline pumping, and then try tocliff jumping. If this is done with good judgment and safety in mind, it can be fun and exciting to do. Here are some tips to consider before jumping from a cliff. This is a dangerous activities and death can occur when the cliff jumping, so you must take safety preparation seriously and be prepared to think before you leap.

You should be aware of your environment and especially the water, you will be jumping into. Once you have found a potential cliff to jump off, first assess the water below, it is necessary to investigate the depth of water for example checking dangerous rocks and what the tides and currents are like in the area. The water must be very deep, to ensure you do not hit the bottom, the evaluation of all obstacles in the water and rocks is also important as you do not want to go where there are many rocks in the background that could cause injury. You should also check if there are strong tidal currents at the base of the cliff, as the currents can pull you into the cliff. In reviewing the water always wear shoes in the case of sharp rocks, you may damage yourself on.

If you are still unsure about the surrounding never attempt to jump. There are many established cliff jumping sites around the world so just ask around or look for more information on the internet of places locally that you can go to. Always start on a small jump and move up little by little, this is to get you used to it and progress when you are more experienced at the small jumps. It may seem silly but you must jump rather than fall hence the name, jumping should ensure hitting the water arrow straight on which is safer.

You should also ask why you want to jump off a cliff, if it is because of peer pressure and want to impress your friends you should not do it. If you are really scared or feel under pressure, you may end up having an accident because you are not focusing correctly on the jump. Cliff Jumping should only be done at your own will, and stay focused, you have to jump for fun and not feel pressured to because of friends.

Once satisfied that it is a safe place and that you are jumping on your own initiative, start being jumping from a small cliff, no more than 20-30 feet in height. Position is important so once you have stepped up to the edge, Make sure your hands are tightly pressed to your side and legs are tightly together, this is sure you enter the water as straight as possible. This is also a good prevention of injury, because when legs and arms are firmly positioned it minimises the chance of limbs being dragged and pulled aside when you enter the water.

Before you jump you should visualise how body position will be, thinking about being as straight as possible, maintaining control and a strong hold of position until you have completed travelling in water. You also need jump at the right time, it is important that you go when you are perfectly balanced and centered. When you are ready and confident in your preparation, then jump and enjoy the jump, because it does not last very long so enjoy it while you can.

If you are looking for a cliff jumping organisation, where training and guidance is given to safely cliff jump, why not make a holiday out of it, Cliff Jumping experiences are offered by Phi Phi Adventure Dive centre in Thailand , they offer 3 hour sessions and even video tape the thrill.

The History Of The Motorcycle Past Present And Future

Many of the “facts” in this story are based on Legend and Myth as much of the history of the Motorcycle and it’s Culture was lost in the Great Rebellion of 2057.

Taken from a history book in the year 2095… Motorcycles And The Culture They Inspire 1868-2017

Motorcycles started out as steam engines strapped on to bicycles in 1868. Soon after the gas engine took its place and by the 1900’s there were Motorcycle shops and Dealers all over the World. For awhile, Motorcycle’s were simply used as transportation. In 1907, when Henry Fords, Ford Motor Company, released the Model-T at a price many could afford, the Motorcycle soon went from a necessity to a luxury item.

In the 1940’s, the Motorcycle Culture really took off. An organization called the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) held races and events all over the United States of America. In 1947 the AMA held an event in Hollister California. This event was attended by many of the AMA Racing Teams and Motorcycle Clubs. This event marks the beginning of the separation of Motorcyclists which eventually led to the end of Motorcycling in the year 2017. Newspapers, being what they where in 1947, got a hold of some pictures of Motorcyclists having fun at the event. The press decided to embellish the facts and transformed the story into a torrid tale of Bikers taking over a small town! More negative news stories soon followed. Soon after Hollywood began releasing movies that portrayed Motorcyclists as lawless and evil.

The American Motorcyclist Association, trying to end the bad press, responded by basically saying that the Newspapers had lied and that it was only 1% of the Motorcyclists that caused problems. This resulted in the first ripple in the Unity of the Motorcycle World and the Medias’ hatred of Bikers. Around the same time, the AMA began adding new requirements for motorcycles to be able to race in AMA sanctioned Races. Those whose motorcycles didn’t meet the new AMA requirements started their own Race Leagues. Because the new Race Leagues/Clubs were not AMA sanctioned, they soon became known as Outlaw Race Leagues/Clubs. Although many Bikers raced in both the AMA and Outlaw Leagues, another great separation had begun.

By the late 1960’s, the separation of the Motorcycle Community was becoming more evident. There were now three basic Motorcycle groups. The American Motorcycle Association, Outlaw/ 1%er Clubs(All 1%ers were Outlaws, but not all Outlaws were considered 1%ers) and Independent Riders. Over the years, the AMA continued to grow. In addition to racing, they began to champion Motorcycle Rights and Safety. As time went on, others formed independent groups whose goals were similar to that of the AMA. The inability or outright refusal of these groups to work together with each other, resulted in further separation of the Motorcycle Community and Culture.

In the 1970’s, rifts began to grow between some of the Outlaw/1% Clubs. By the 1990’s, the media had inflated these conflicts into stories that rivaled the tall tales of the old west. These tall tales where ment to invoked fear of the Outlaw/1% Clubs in the public. Everyone was lied to,. They were told to stay away from and fear all Outlaw/1% Clubs. The media began referring to Motorcycle Clubs as Motorcycle Gangs, a term meant to further instill fear into the heart of the Public. Stories and rumors began surfacing, claiming these “Gangs” were ruthless and would kill or maim people for little or no reason at all. By the early 21st Century, every minor conflict between Outlaw/1% Clubs was made into a book, made for TV movie, or docudrama. Titles like “Motorcycle Gang Wars In Your Back Yard” were common. Although real wars, conflicts, and suffering were occurring worldwide, the Corporate owned media chose to report fiction over fact.

In 2010, a conflict between two rival Clubs was captured on Video at a “Biker Build Off” event. The coverage by the media and negative publicity that followed was so overwhelming that in 2011, the United States Government passed a law banning all Outlaw/1% Clubs. In response, the Outlaw/1% Clubs put aside their differences and formed “Bikers United”. The Bikers fought back stating the law was unconstitutional and un-American. Even as late as 2011, Many Americans still clung to the misguided belief that they had rights and lived in a free Nation. The Bikers fought hard and came very close to winning, but without the support of the Motorcycle Rights Groups,The many other Clubs, and the Independent Riders, all of whom had been brainwashed into believing the Outlaw Clubs were criminal organizations, they were defeated.

Many of the Outlaw/1% Clubs tried to stay together. The Clubs went underground, but after many raids and constant Government harassment, they all but disappeared. In 2013, in an effort to ensure that the Outlaw/1% Clubs never returned, the Government decided to outlaw all Motorcycle Clubs and organizations. The AMA, the many Clubs and Motorcycle Rights Organizations United in an effort to battle the Governments oppression. They tried to use many of the same tactics and strategies that the Outlaw/1% Clubs used. Unfortunately, the Government was much smarter and stronger this time around. They had learned many lessons in their fierce battles with the Outlaw/1% Clubs, and they used what they had learned against the united Clubs and Organizations. With no Outlaw/1% Clubs left to assist them and without the support of the Independent Riders, the United Clubs and Organizations were defeated.

In 2015, the Government passed a law that made it illegal to even look like an Outlaw on a Motorcycle. The Independent Riders banned together to try and fight the law, but by this time their numbers were few and there wasn’t anyone left to show them how to fight for their rights. After a brief protest, they too were soundly defeated. In 2017, What was now a “Global Government”, in its infinite wisdom, decided that Motorcycles posed a danger to the public. They passed a law banning the manufacturing of Motorcycle’s and their use! They ordered that all existing Motorcyclesbe destroyed. This brought to an end, the History of Motorcycles. It would take until the year 2093 before anything even close to resembling a Motorcycle reappeared.

As a Historian looking back at the History of Motorcycles and the Culture it created, it amazes me how powerful the Motorcycle Culture could have been had they not let every little thing separate them. Instead of embracing something they all had in common and working together to protect it, they instead let their differences, the media, and the government divide them. By the time the Bikers realized how much they were connected and needed each other, it was too late. Their numbers were certainly sufficient to achieve victory, but their failure to come together as Brothers and Sisters and work for the common good ultimately caused their demise. Had they been victorious, it may have been enough to stop all of the oppression and tyranny that soon followed. History is full of stories just like this one, over and over again. The ones who love and honor Freedom the most are taken down first and the rest soon fall like dominoes. Until the Great Rebellion of 2057, we as a Global Society did not realize how important it was to put aside our differences. It may have taken awhile, but we finally figured it out…Just in time!

NFL Preseason Handicapping: Pros and Cons

There’s not much ‘middle ground’ when it comes to the desirability of betting NFL preseason games. The overly conservative handicappers suggest that its a poor wagering opportunity, while the ‘boiler room’ sports touts try to suggest that short of a fixed game there’s no more sure thing than preseason football. There’s a degree of truth in both views. Handicapping preseason NFL football is a unique discipline unto itself, but with knowledge and caution it can be a profitable endeavor.

The most compelling argument against preseason wagering is simply that the games don’t count. While there are often spots during the regular season where teams may seem more or less motivated, in theory they all want to win. That’s not something that can be taken as a ‘given’ during the preseason, however, as the individual agendas of NFL coaching staffs can very widely. Some might want to win games to establish a winning attitude, others might put a greater focus on working in a new offensive or defensive scheme. Others may prioritize evaluating talent at key positions, while others may simply want to make it through to the regular season without any significant injuries. With all of the uncertainty swirling around preseason football, handicapping wins and losses against the pointspread can be exceedingly difficult.

But like the old saying goes “every dark cloud has a silver lining”. And the divergent agendas at play in preseason football can be seen as precisely why it is a good wagering opportunity. For example, say the Superbowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers are set to play an ‘also ran’ team like the Houston Texans. By regular season standards, the Steelers would almost certainly be favored. In the preseason, however, they’ll often have a different agenda for the individual game. A “better” team has more concern about protecting key players. and usually has fewer personnel decisions to deal with. They don’t need to worry about implementing coaching changes, or creating ‘team chemistry’. As a result, ‘better’ teams frequently approach preseason games as a mere annoyance.

On the other hand, consider the ‘lesser’ team in a preseason matchup. They often have a number of key starting positions they need to fill, along with backup positions up for grabs. They may have new coaching staffs that players want to impress, new offensive or defensive schemes to implement. Most significantly, ‘lesser’ teams often view the preseason as an opportunity to build team chemistry or create a winning attitude. A team trying to rebuild can benefit from winning *any* games, regardless of whether or not they count in the standings. For a league doormat, a win over an elite level opponent can serve as a rare highlight of a losing season.

While some teams could care less about the result of preseason games, few want to enter the regular season having lost them all. In light of this fact, a successful preseason situation that has stood the test of time is to bet on teams that lost their first two exhibition games outright. This situation has produced a winning percentage right around 60%.

There may be no greater determining factor of a team’s preseason success than the philosophy of their head coach. Some coaches just don’t like to lose *any* game, and usually these hyper-competitive teams are good preseason bets. Bill Parcells, for example, was legendary for his serious approach to preseason games. The coaches that he mentored like the NY Giants’ Tom Coughlin have to some extent carried on this legacy. While the “good” preseason coaches are often reflected in the pointspreads assigned to their team, a motivated team is almost always worth a look.

The smart preseason handicapper makes use of the Internet, and more specifically uses it to follow the local sports media of NFL teams. During NFL preseasons, teams’ beat writers are anxious to write stories and need to fill articles but have little in the way of “real” news to write about. As a result, a handicapper can frequently find valuable details like a coach’s goals for the game, playing time for key players, and specific strategies that will be implemented. Occasionally, coaches will come out and say that they’re more interested in evaluating certain players for certain positions than they are in the outcome of the game. A thorough evaluation of this type of media coverage can often produce not only teams to play “on”, but teams with priorities other than winning to play “against”.

In conclusion, there are certainly strong opportunities for profit in NFL preseason wagering but its essential to understand that it cannot be approached in the same manner as the regular season. And, as always, its important to remember that there will be more strong opportunities down the road and that discipline and rigor in handicapping is just as crucial in the preseason NFL as it is at any other time of the year.

Swedish Heavyweight Champ Ingemar Johansson In Profile

Ingemar Johannson died in a Swedish nursing home in January 2009 at the age of 76. He’d lived in the nursing home in the Swedish coastal city of Kungsbacka since the mid’90’s when he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and dementia, and had suffered from a tough case of pneumonia immediately prior to his death.

Johannson rocketed to international fame and rock star like superstardom in Sweden by virtue of his 3rd round knockout victory over Floyd Patterson on June 26,’59 to become only the 5th heavyweight champion born outside of the US. Johannson was considered the underdog going into the matchup, and due to the perception that he wasn’t training particularly hard entered the bout a 5/1 underdog. Johansson was frequently seen in Catskill nightspots during his training camp with his attractive young secretary in stark contrast to Patterson’s disciplined regimen in preparation for his title defense.

While his training methods may not have been particularly disciplined, his performance in the Yankee Stadium fight made up for it. After a tentative first two rounds, Johannson floored Patterson with a quick right hand early in the third. As there was no ‘three knockdown’ rule in effect, Johannson would eventually knock Patterson down a total of seven times before referee Ruby Goldstein stopped the fight and awarded him the victory.

Johannson would hold the title for just under a year before he lost it back to Patterson in a rematch at the Polo Grounds in New York City. Patterson was the aggressor from the opening bell, and would eventually regain his title as he knocked Johannson out cold in the fifth round with a looping left hook. Displaying the class for which he became famous, Patterson was less concerned about celebrating his victory as he was for the well being of his opponent.

The two men would fight for a third time nine months later in Miami Beach, Florida. Though Johannson appeared to be out of shape entering the battle, he fought bravely in an exciting slugfest that saw both men taste the canvas at various points in the bout. The first round was particularly epic, with Patterson down twice and Johannson once. Soon after, however, it became apparent that Johannson knew an early assault was his only real chance at victory. The superior conditioning of Patterson took over, and he put his opponent away for good in the 6th round. Johannson would fight four more times , posting victories in Sweden before retiring from the ring in’63.

Patterson and Johannson remained close lifelong friends and would travel to visit each other every year until the American champion died in 2006. While it is commonplace today for former in-ring adversaries to become close personal friends(eg: Oscar De La Hoya and Shane Mosely, Mickey Ward and Arturo Gatti), it was less common in the’60s. Johannson remained a big star in Sweden, occasionally appearing in movies and enjoyed good health well into his 60’s when old age began to take its toll.

Ingemar Johansson is considered one of Sweden’s greatest sports heroes, and was a crucial element in fueling the popularity of boxing in Europe and Scandinavia. He was married and divorced twice, and is survived by five children.

Home Decorating Using High-End Comfort Blankets

Did you know that we spend about a third of our lives in bed? It’s absolutely true, so you can understand how important it is to our sleep and to our health, to have a good supportive mattress and comfortable sheets and linen to sleep on.

The first thing to consider when purchasing bed sheets is the thread count of those sheets. The higher the thread count, means more threads per square inch. And the more threads per square inch makes that fabric strong, more durable and longer lasting.

The highest quality and thread count is found in the King of cotton, the Egyptian cotton, which is grown along the Nile.

Pima or Suprima is another fine choice of long fiber staple, high thread count quality fabric. This fiber is grown in the American Southwest as the Egyptian fiber is grown along the Nile. It is certainly another luxury fabric high in thread count perhaps not as costly as its counterpart.

Next choice is Pima or Supima which is compared to the luxury of Egyptian sheets. The difference is geographical; Egyptian is just that and the cotton is grown along the Nile River in Egypt. Pima is American and is grown in the Southwest.

Your lower quality but more affordable is percale sheets. The thread count is not as high, typically around’0 to 200 and can be found as 100% cotton or a mix blend of 50/50 cotton and polyester blend. Your 200 thread count of course will give you a softer feel.

Before the bed sheets you’ll want to have a supportive yet comfortable mattress to sleep on. First shop the mattress stores so that you can lay on them to find your perfect comfort level. You’ll find soft, firm, and hard mattresses, so do your homework. Consider your climate in which you live as a determining factor. And remember to take your spouse with you so that you are both happy with your decision.

Don’t forget about the mattress pad or cover with your mattress purchase. It will not only protect your mattress from sweat or stains, but will also prolong the life of your mattress. Also you’ll need to rotate and turn your mattress every six months to maintain the life of your mattress.

A high-end goose down comforter is much like the high-end Egyptian sheets, in that it will give you more years of enjoyment. You know the old saying, you get what you pay for, is certainly true when it comes to thread count and luxurious quality bedding.

Interior Design: Expertise At Your Fingertips

Over the years many people have asked me what is important to consider when you hire an Interior Designer. I hope that after reading my article below you will get the help you were looking for.

See to it that you use the 5 questions in this article as a guide.

– Do you feel inadequate when it comes to home decorating?

– Have you made home purchases but they are still in the closet or garage because you don’t know what to do with them or where to put anything?

– Are you at odds with a spouse or roommate when it comes to decision making for the design project at hand?

– Are you having a hard time agreeing with your spouse or roommate when it comes to home or apartment decorating?

– Are you unsure of your personal style and exactly what you like when it comes to home decorating?

Your answers to the questions will help you determine if you should take on the assistance of an Interior Designer. The services of a designer will help you immensely.

Interior Designers have the know-how and the expertise when it comes to interior spaces. Now you may think you know how, and perhaps some of you are pretty good with the DIY (do it yourself) projects, but the truth of the matter is, most of us simply aren’t. So for that reason alone should you seriously consider hiring an Interior Designer because the bottom line is mistakes will cost you more in the long run.

Now I’m not saying that all Interior Designers are alike on the contrary. If you ask five Designers about how a room should be designed, you will get five different answers!

So how do you hire the right Interior Designer? First ask friends or family. Word of mouth is great advertising for any Designer. Perhaps a co-worker has had good experience with a Designer.

A good characteristic to look for in a Designer is confidence in his or her abilities. Also a Designer should respect YOU as a Client and listen to your desires and needs for your design project.

Meet with your Designer before hiring them. Many will advertise their services on personal websites. Most Designers offer free consultations, which is an informal meeting to break the ice and get to know your Designer. Your Designer will use this meeting to get to know you as well and hear what you desire in your interior spaces.

You will want to be clear about your design intentions and express exactly what your ideas are and how you want your interior space to look. Even if you don’t know exactly what you want, a good Designer will always bring it out of you.

This is great and exactly what you are looking for in a Designer. And it’s not about how many years the Designer has been practicing you will just know and feel that the Designer truly understands you.

Your Designer should connect with you. This “synergy” should exist between Designer and Client. Personalities do matter.

Interior Designers work with a great team of professionals and special vendors that can get the job done right. The consumer does not have this in-depth, privy information that makes the Designer even more valuable.

Referrals may or may not be given by your Designer simply because past Clients are not willing to give out private information about them. General questions may be acceptable like what kind of projects were completed and was the client satisfied with the results.

Most Designers charge by the hour and work with many budget levels so don’t think you can’t afford one. You’ll see a range of prices from $50 dollars an hour to $300 dollars and hour or more. But don’t assume that because the Designer is charging the higher end would make them any more qualified or better.
